We're fresh in the new year and there's still time to make a new start. In my previous post I mentioned the different types of challenges that I came across and that the most meaningful one to me is the 21 day prayer and fasting because it provides nourishment to both the spiritual and physical body (read about it here). So far it's been a humbling and fulfilling experience and I know it will only get better.
This is the first post in the new year of 2017 and I couldn't be more grateful for such a blessing. So far this year there seems to be a trend of starting a challenge in the next 21 days. I've seen a 21 day detox, cleanse and weight loss plan; but the best challenge I saw was the 21 days of prayer and fasting.
Christmas is finally here and all too soon 2016 is coming to an end. In my last post (here) I shared my first Holiday style outfit and this post illustrates the second look. Although this outfit doesn't scream Christmas per say the red stripes in the skirt (similar here, here or here) reminds me of a Christmas favorite the candy cane and I paired it with a wide arm white top (similar here & here) and embellished it with a pin.
The holidays are a joyous time of year because of the family time, festive foods, the Christmas decor and most of all the parties, get togethers and dinner invitations that I receive.
As we celebrate the Thanksgivings season it's important for us to reflect and really count our blessings. The Lord has done so much for my family this year and it's not something I take lightly. I'm grateful for the new addition to my family with the birth of our beautiful daughter, she is such a blessing and a reflection of Gods favor. I'm also grateful for the trials and tribulations I've endured because in each set back I've found that it can be a setup for a great comeback.
