StyleNique Presents: Baby Girl's 1st Birthday

My family was blessed with a baby girl last year and she recently turned one year old! We are so grateful to have her and wanted to celebrate her first year. We really didn't want the celebration to be a full blown party so we settled on having an intimate gathering where she can cut a cake, take some pictures, and thank God for seeing us through this past year.

In choosing the color scheme I wanted to keep it pale and nude so I went for two shades of muted pink and one bubblegum pink for a little pop of color. I made a two tier French Vanilla cake with Cream Brulee frosting, decorated with Wilton's 2b piping rosette tip; in addition, I made a dozen cupcakes with the same cake batter to write out the number 1.

Overall I was happy with the results and everyone enjoyed it. The birthday girl loves all the beautiful colors and thoughtful gifts for one-year old girls! I'm excited about my new baking adventure and looking forward to creating a lot more desserts in the near future; I'm calling it StyleNique Floral Sweets! Very excited!
